What is Shamanism
Shamanism is an ancient healing tradition and moreover, a Way of Life.
Ancient shamanic practices of indigenous cultures tap into the wisdom and power that Mother Earth has to offer. The teachings are derived from the simple truths of nature which recognises the inextricable connection of all people, plants, animals, elements, the seasons and the cosmos.
"Man did not weave the web of life, we are merely a strand in it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves"
Expect the Unexpected
The point of the Shamanic path is to have the experience of awakening, which involves something beyond the thinking mind or intellectual knowledge - Don Jose Ruiz
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” – Carl Jung
With the rise of the machines and AI technology and the accompanying frenetic pace of life that sees many of us chasing the dollar to survive, we have somehow forgotten what it feels like to thrive – that is to be in flow and at one with the natural state of being - in communion with the soul and the natural elements. We have become slaves to the machine system, not even realising that we have also become prisoners to consumerism, numerous addictions and distractions, subjected to fear inducing events, news and images, and have given our power away to external authorities, been told what to think – drowning out our own internal voices….. slowly forgetting the truth of who we are and our interconnectedness with all things on earth and in the cosmos.... we can then find ourselves feeling like there is something missing in our lives, feeling that we are in a state of unbalance and unhappiness and not knowing what the root cause of this dis-ease is.
Then eventually it happens, whether a pre-programmed internal clock goes off… or a traumatic event occurs which forces you to stop and listen and to re-evaluate your life.... our internal voice becomes louder and louder... our soul becomes audible.... you may start looking for things to soothe yourself, bring healing and harmony into your life, look at holistic
therapies, maybe even look to shamanism - that which is concerned with the well-being of the soul's embodied life in this world, and specifically our embodied soul's interconnection with our wider environment of Family, Community, our Earth and the wider Cosmos.
What does the Shaman do? The Shaman brings about soul healing and re-connecting individuals to their unique inner power, presence, compassion and love, and to a sense of community and earth so that they can live an authentic, connected, purposeful and meaningful life. Shamanic healing is a partnership between the client and the shaman. It is not about 'lying back and being healed.' It is about taking responsibility for your own healing, for your own ailments and imbalance. When we face our disharmony, we face our own fears, our own doubts and issues. By facing them we see them for what they really are and transform them into great power far beyond our imagination.
It gives us the choice to use keys to move powerfully in ways far beyond imagination. We discover the extraordinary new and higher consciousness. Alignment of spirit, soul and body allows wholeness to powerfully embrace all our gifts to beneficially create our reality.
Shamanism encourages you to find your own truth, to follow your own heart, and to see that the answers you seek are already inside you
